Electrostatic Spraying FAQ's
The unfortunate truth is, that a lack of training, benefits, and supervision leads to cutting corners, this results in insufficiently sanitized rooms. In most circumstances, Cleaners are at best “just cleaning”, not disinfecting or sanitizing. Proper chemicals and applications are needed for these processes.
Cleaning is the removal of debris such as organic and inorganic material (often called “soil”) from objects and surfaces. Sanitizing is the reduction, not killing, of organisms on a surface. Disinfecting will “kill” the microscopic organisms on a surface.
YES-Cleaning soiled surfaces prior to disinfecting allows the disinfectant to work more effectively. If you have a layer of dust, dirt or oils, this creates a barrier between the surface and the disinfectant which prohibits the disinfectant from destroying or inactivating the microorganisms on the surface face.
There are a vast number of hard-to-reach areas that are potentially covered in pathogenic bacteria, like keyboards, phones, and desks just to name a few! The best way to ensure all surfaces are sanitized, is through Electrostatic Spraying & using proper sanitizers. Electrostatic application of disinfectants, when done properly, can help slow the spread of contagious illness, improve health and reduce absenteeism
Electrostatic disinfection-disinfects, or kills, unwanted pathogens from every targeted surface, but won’t protect those surfaces from becoming infected again. A continuing maintenance program is highly suggested.
When people touch a surface or object contaminated with SARS-CoV-2, other infectious viruses, and then touch their own eyes, noses, or mouths, they may expose themselves to the virus.
Early information from the CDC, the National Institutes of Health, and other study partners suggests that SARS-CoV-2 can survive on certain types of surfaces, such as plastic and stainless steel, for 2-3 days. However, because the transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 from contaminated environmental surfaces and objects is still not fully understood, employers should carefully evaluate whether or not work areas occupied by people suspected to have the virus, may have been contaminated and whether or not they need to be decontaminated in response.
